Above is a ring style pot stand with one leg removed to show how the notch in the leg fits into the notch in the ring. This is made of a cut piece of aluminum pipe and some aluminum plate. The half holes along the top of the ring are to allow the flame to exit the holes and not come around the ring. The ring and legs can get hot because the flames directly impact the ring.
