I have designed a couple of stoves that are easy to build and perform exceptionally well. I have not seen either of these designs anywhere else. This one I call a China Hat stove because the top looks like a china man's hat. The other is a Gear Top stove. These are the only three stoves that I attempt to show people how to build. Like other web sites I have to put in a disclaimer: If you build either of these stoves you do so at your own risk. Alcohol is flammable and dangerous if used incorrectly. No warranty for functionality is expressed or implied. ![]() The China Hat Stove is very light, fast burning and easy to
make. A hole punch and a box cutter or sizzors to open the top is all that is needed. The most
difficult part of this stove is getting the two different size cans to friction fit the bottom portion into the top portion.
Overall this is a very good stove.
