This is an aluminum sheet metal support that that is made from aluminum siding. It weighs more than the bicycle spoke designs, but is lighter than some of the 1/8" plate designs.   It is one continious sheet that is cut then folded.  The ends overlap and are held together with a paper clip.  Overall this is a good stand but it takes up a fair amount of room because it does not fold smaller.
