Above is a bottom ring style pot stand with one leg removed to show how the notch in the leg fits into the notch in the ring. This is made of a cut piece of aluminum pipe and some aluminum plate. The ring and legs can get hot because the flames directly impact the ring. This stand can hold a great deal of weigh but has a bit of play due to the tolerance of the interlocking slots.
